Got good reviews from the local dude who writes for the Lincoln Journal Star. And I usually agree with his reviews...

It is a steaming pile of dogshit.

I liked it for the most part. The fairies were just terrible representations of the original tale, they just bickered and bitched back and forth like old housewives instead of actually doing magic. They seemed so inept about everything. Also Sharlto Copley phoned his performance in. His accent just came off as ridiculous and he could've tried out as Scotty for Star Trek with it. The best parts of this movie were Angelina Jolie and the guy who plays her companion.

I actually went to see this on the Fourth of July. I expected it to be terrible, but it was ok. It's a Disney flick so I was afraid that it would be sappy and have some singing and such, but there was none of that. It was an interesting twist on a familiar story.

Jolie was good, but the rest of the cast wasn't very impressive. They really should have someone better to play the king.

Not a great movie, but in a time when your only movie options are either Michael Bay PG13 explosion fests or reeruned comic book movies, this one was pretty decent. No great scenes, but no terrible ones either. A better director would have helped.

I also watched "Deliver Us From Evil" the same day. It sucked.

Wow, talk about a circular plot of poop. Granted, kids are the aim, but this doesn't make the cut for measuring up to the Disney classics.

Even though a lot of the Disney stories are lifted from a variety of folklore and stories passed down for generations.
