Off to Wichita
 

Getting ready to head out for a trip up to Wichita for the week. My dad and I will be going to attend to annual POCI club meeting and car show (http://www.poci.org/). I haven't been able to figure out how to upload a pic from my computer or I would post a picture of the 1924 Oakland we are taking! Here is a picture that is very close, ours has a black upper instead of being all the same color.

The show is open to the public. If you happen to be in the area, stop by. I will be the younger guy (dad is 74!).

Pontiac drag races tonight.

There are some amazing cars here (not just ours!). If you are in the area, you should stop by tomorrow when it is open to the public. $10 at the door to see some of the prettiest Pontiacs around (and a couple of Oaklands too).

Anyway, enjoying the week and Wichita isn't bad. Had a good lunch at the Doo Dah Cafe yesterday. Never expected to see fried bologna sandwiches at a restaurant!

I was giving serious thought to a visit - but my management says that while she is at work, I have to take one of her chickens to a veterinarian an hour away.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to our fair city. It's a cozy home.
