Reid would have went for two
Go for one or two?
Reid left no doubt what he would have done had the Chiefs scored a touchdown in the final seconds and drawn within 24-23 last Sunday at Denver. Play for overtime with an extra point or go for the win with a two▪ -point conversion. “I was going to go for two,” Reid said on Friday, with no hesitation. He can say all he wants in a presser six days later, but at the end of the day even he doesn't know what he'd do because they didn't get a touchdown..

I guess that explains a lot. |
Going for 2 would have been the right call, as I, and many others in the game thread pointed out.

He wasn't going for 2. Fat Andy is one of the most terrified coaches I've ever seen. He kicked FG on 4th & goal at the 1 in both Denver and Indy last year. It's laughable he'd pull this act when we all know it's totally false

Probably should have worried about getting 6 first.
|
Yeah great idea, trust the offense to go for two when they couldn't even get the job done on 4th and goal.

Terrible idea. Manning only needing a Field goal to win with a minute left. Better shot in OT because you at least get the ball.

You don't take Peyton Manning into overtime with our defense. go for 2 |
It's real simple: in strategy, if you can't think of what you want to do, ask youself: "What does my opponent NOT want me to do?" It's pretty obvious what John Fox would not want.

No flipping way would he have gone for two when he didn't go for it on 4th and a foot from near midfield when the offense was moving the ball. No way.

you want to trust our shitty defense to not give up a big play? |
Reid would have kicked the XP. He would have thought about going for 2 but would have decided that taking a tie into OT on the road was the best option.
