scotland, my 8 year old grandaughter passed away yesterday morning.

she was born with down syndrome, and went through 5 heart surgeries. she was the bravest, toughest person i've known.

She leaves behind her parents, 2 younger brothers and one younger sister. lots of family and even more friends.

any thoughts, prayers are greatly appreciated.

it was so fast and crazy...all was fine yesterday morning. she got up and went to school. later in the morning, she just seized and by time they got her to the e.r. she was gone.

Oh my God my prayers are with you and your family. That is so heartbreaking, I just about tear up just thinking about it.

I have seen what losing a child does to parents and it must be just as hard for grandparents, too. I pray for your family to find whatever comfort can be had in this trying time.

she was named after me...they just had to make it a little more girlish.

she'd sit with me in my recliner and we'd fight over the remote. ball game or freaking dora the explorer. she owned me.
