Bills will hire Rex Ryan as next Head Coach
|
The Buffalo Bills are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will make Rex Ryan their next head coach, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The hiring of Ryan would complete an extensive coaching search for the Bills, who have interviewed 12 candidates since Doug Marrone opted out of his contract on Dec. 31. The Bills conducted a second interview with Ryan on Saturday night, sources told Schefter. Ryan spent the last six seasons with the Jets, going 46-50 and helping New York reach the AFC Championship Game in each of his first two years. But Ryan and general manager John Idzik were fired on Dec. 29 after the Jets went 4-12 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season. The 52-year-old Ryan also has interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons' coaching vacancy. The defensive-minded Ryan will inherit a Bills defense that ranked fourth in the NFL and had a league-leading 54 sacks this past season. |

Funny that he stayed in the division to stick it to the Jets. Luckily for the Jets they have Geno at qb so everything should be alright with them, right Clay?

Holy ****, that defense is going to be ridiculous.

It's a great fit.
All he needs is a QB. I hope he gets Tresman as his OC |
Is he going to mesh well with Schwartz?
Both defensive minded and strong willed. We play the bills next season.... Posted via Mobile Device |

That talent with Ryan's schemes... Going to be filthy. Do we play Buffalo again next year? |
5 years $27.5MM. That will buy a lot of whatever you buy when you have a foot fetish.
