Would KC move up in the 2nd round?
Seems like there might be around 2-3 good ILB prospects available at the top of the 2nd round. With DJ trying to make a comeback..it seems like a pressing need/insurance. Would it be worth it to trade up? This is a deep draft..especially at WR so what they give up could be costly.

NO !!!!!!

I don't see any guys that I'd reasonably want playing all 3 downs. That includes McKinney, Perryman, and Dawson |
Well...that was pretty emphatic. Ha...
Imo OL and ILB are the two weaknesses on the roster..with WR coming in 3rd. |
McKinney, Perryman, and Dawson...like you mentioned..and Kendricks. He will likely be gone though.

TRADING UP IS DUMB !!!!
|
In this draft? I'd love to trade down from our first and get another 3rd or even a 2nd if we can move far enough to get one. Dorsey has kicked ass in the 3rd.

we should trade up to take a right tackle #1 overall

My post was hypothetical..many think Kendricks is the best ILB in this draft class. IF he was there at the top of the 2nd...which he most likely wont. |
Because of the compensatory 3rd rounder we can afford to trade our 4th round pick along with our 2nd to move and get a guy. Is it a good idea? If you get your guy and he works out then yes. If he's Kawika Mitchell then no.

The NFL doesn't give teams enough time to make a pick/trade for Dorsey to make a deal in time to move up for a player.

Drugs are bad, OK....

it will be interesting to see
I get the feeling that Dorsey is a guy that doesn't trade up. He is a quantity over quality, low-risk guy. so is Reid So is Alex Smith So is Clark Hunt, come to think about it. |
