Things to consider upon last night's ending

Alright, that sh*t last night hurt. Bad. Five turnovers, often terrible play calls, and inability to execute left us all feeling like dogsh*t. But hear me out on a few takeaways here.

1. This ain't over between KC and Denver. With these two defenses playing top 5 level football right now, this has all the makings of a rivalry like the one Seattle and San Fran had a couple years ago. It even started getting a little chippy several times for once.

2. Sean Smith. This is good and bad, because it basically means we aren't in good position to watch him walk in FA next year, but the bottom line is he will be back. Marcus Peters looks like a #1 corner already through TWO games. Get Smith back, plug Gaines into the slot and all of the sudden a defense that already looks really solid becomes even better. It's what we need to close the gap.

3. Next time we play Denver, we are coming off of a bye. You can bet after this game KC is gonna come into their place wanting that one, and with Reid's track record with bye week's, I don't think we can feel beat already with that one whatsoever. Maybe by then Fisher will have his ass in gear and be able to block Von Miller just a tad, unlike Jah (who gave his best efforts)

In closing again I will say, last night sucked. It gets old with the way this team seems to get your hopes up just to pull the rug out at the end, no doubt. But greater teams have lost in bad ways before. (NE @ Arrowhead 2014....) I'm just saying. One game doesn't make or break a season no matter how bad we wanted to beat Denver or the fact that we should have. We were -4 in the turnover margin and still had a great shot at a win. That's a sign of a really, really good team.

Patrick Allen said it best:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This isn&#39;t over. This Chiefs team is good. Really good. Not likely to have another 5 turnover game again. They&#39;ll be ok.</p>&mdash; Patrick Allen (@RPatrickAllen) <a href="https://twitter.com/RPatrickAllen/status/644721523698348032">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

It ain't over guys. Walk away from the ledge because whether you're down right now or not, if I had told you we would be -4 in turnovers there's not a person in the country who would have thought it to be this close. Denver is very good, particularly on defense, and these two are top 5 teams in the AFC. DON'T GIVE UP NOW, SEAN IS COMING!

I thought it was awesome when we called a timeout with 40 seconds left in the game... When we were on defense... And gave Peyton Manning extra time... To throw the game-tying TD on the next play.

I appreciate Patrick's spirit.

Had to give defense time to get set so that Phlegming's #30 was fully visible to the 5head.

More of Fat Stupid Bad Andy's consistently bad game mosmanagement.

How is this idiot a head coach??

It's ****ing basic situational football.
PLAY SITUATIONAL FOOTBALL!!

1st and goal from the 2??

RUN THE BALL 4 STRAIGHT TIMES IF YOU HAVE TO.

Law of averages says that the all time leader in NFL rushing average will get it on one of them.

1st and goal with 90 sec at the end of the half - you lead 14-7, their offense just got some momentum, so...END THE HALF with 3 kneel downs and go in the locker room leading by 7. 14, because it's 21-7 if you run with Jamal at goal to go on the 1st series.

Take the guy getting toasted out of the game.

Put Dee Ford IN the game.

After Knile Davis goes UNTOUCHED for an 8 yd TD scamper in the 4th, you keep feeding those fresh legs the ball, and never relinquish the lead.

****, that sequence at the end of the 1st half was ABYSMAL. Reid and his staff should be FIRED for gross incompetence. Before that mini-shitshow, Denver didn't even think they could play football anymore, and 5head looked like he was ready to lay down and die.

This is ALL on the coaching staff. They threw this game.*

Whether they did it knowingly and took the fall, idk... but it's squarely on the coaching staff. The players played hard. The coaches never put anyone in a good position.

Fat **** has NO BUSINESS BEING AN NFL HEAD COACH.

He threw TWO TDs after defensive timeouts and it's happened in past meetings as well. Just dumb.

If it weren't for Jamell Fleming I would actually feel pretty decent about the Green Bay game. They can't stop the run, aren't great against the pass, and we seemingly can stop the run. Not expecting a win there but if they do that sure changes the outlook...

The Chiefs can hang with anyone no question. They just shit their pants in big games. They win last night and a tough loss to Geena Bay is ok. Now they need to take one of the two tough road games.

It's not over with Denver? Sure, whatever you say.

Peyton scrapped Kubiak on national tv ... Denver is winning 13 games, easy

Eh, they'll top out at 12 but yeah. They're not losing a divisional game this year.

The Broncos nut stomped us with a record TV audience watching. They will nut stomp us at their place most assuredly. Gunning for the Wildcard. What's new?

I didn't think that time out was that bad an idea. The defense needed to catch their breath, and I hate to say it, but Manning was going after Flemming whether we called a time out or not...and they ran the same route Flemming got burned on where he was lucky enough Manning threw at the receiver's back heel a couple of plays before. I'm no Reid fan, but I didn't think this was a pivotal mistake.

They certainly have enough overall talent. We'll see how far our pussy QB and dipshit HC can take us again.
