In a cast again
So the heel spur surgery from 2012 strikes again. One of the screws to attached my Achilles to my heel came out. AND-my body likes to calcify scar tissue. There was new bone above my heel.
In a cast for four weeks. Then a walking boot. At least I can drive when the doc gives me permission Handicap parking for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm guessing the pain killers are working?

When I read the title, I assumed that you had won a role in your local production of West Side Story.
|
Thought maybe you were breaking out the Dale Carter Jersey Sunday

All I can do today is make smart ass comments on CP and in the local newspaper. And work on my typing. Seems like I am a dyslexic typer. |
Change your name to diplacedoncouch?
Get better man |
Hope your heel heals quickly.
Sincerely, Major Major |
Pardon my ignorance of the subject, but at some point, would the screws ever be removed or are they supposed to stay in there permanently? Not knowing anything about this, it just seems to me that at some point, the body would be better off without things in there that aren't standard issue.
Also, I hope things improve for you soon. |
Not a problem Ed.
If they have to remove them, they that means opening up the heel again. It takes two weeks in a cast to heal again. Not worth it. It is meant to permanently attach the Achilles to the heel.
