GLENDALE, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A person was killed today in a traffic crash on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Griffith Park area.

The crash was reported north of Colorado Boulevard about 7 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to reports from the scene, a car rolled over and ejected a person, whose body ended up perched atop a freeway sign.

Two southbound lanes were closed while an investigation was underway.

Seat belts save lives.

Colorado's actually a great place to land under most circumstances.

Pretty damn tragic (and cool). Just one more argument for wearing seatbelts. It doesn't happen if he was wearing them... :shrug:
