This.... brings me joy, for some silly reason.

I get the impression that the asian interpretation is that the hardworking, gritty, smart Royals from an obscure land known as "Kansas City" were able to defeat the arrogant, lazy players from New York. Thats not how it really went down, but I'm fine with that perception.

So Chris Rock is a rock? Would taiwanese folks make the connection? Does the last name translate literally in taiwanese? Inquiring minds want to know.

They apparently make a ton of videos, nearly all of them about American stuff.

Not surprisingly, they bridge that gap by making dozens of videos about Jeremy Lin.

I imagine the person who wrote this knew the meaning of Rock's name in English, and used to matching word in Taiwanese. Rock is probably an easy word to translate. I do wonder how Mets and Royals translates though.
