Friendly reminder, today's the day to get free Taco Bell thanks to Lorenzo Cain stealing a base in game 1 of the WS.

I believe it's a breakfast item.

Remember when Denny's did some free breakfast and the lines were like Black Friday. I don't know that this item is worth waiting in line for.

No waiting for one is a waste. They really aren't that great, its Taco Bell.

Wasn't even 5 minutes, and that was with the stores being late opening the door.

A bizarre promotion. Any player steals a base at any point in the series to get free breakfast? Doesn't that have about a 100% chance of happening?

Offer is on two days, today and the 10th. Each day depended on a stolen base in 1 particular game.

Plus, their intent was to generate buzz around their breakfast menu through another high profile event, not gamble on not having to pay off.

No stolen base, no new traffic. Free crunchwrap, another potential returning customer walking through their door. WS tie in, lots of gab on social media about the promotion.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if their tying their promotion to a specific game resulted in some breaks on advertising going forward from the network and league, as it raised the profile of the game, if only slightly.

Coincidentally, the local plumbers union is offering a 1/2 price toilet unclogging promotion through the end of the week.

It was any game of the World Series... they apparently really wanted to give out free breakfast.

5th OR 10th? The reports were AND on social media during the series.

Not a big deal, except I just sent an email to some friends reminding them, and I told them that if they didn't get the email in time not to worry because they were repeating it.

Oh well.

I went by.. immediately turned around when I saw the size of the line. Those people must have been really hard up for some free taco bell

I'm not a fan of pork sausage, so they let me sub the California. Hash browns, eggs, and bacon. It's not bad. Wait in line was about 10-12 minutes.
