1st & 10 from the 1...Bob Sutton
I don't know what goes through Sutton's head sometimes? You're up 22-0, you have the opponent pinned on their 1 yard line and an "inexperienced QB" playing in his first action of the season.
Why in the ever-loving-**** is Hali dropping back in coverage? Why are you not blitzing this rookie who is pinned on his 1 yard line? In fact, I don't care who the QB is, any time you have a team pinned on the 1, WTF are you dropping one of your two premiere pass rushers into coverage??? Did we need more eyes down field to watch the 15 yard pass get completed? Are we feeling bad for beating up on Peyton so we give the other guy a chance? I know in the long run of that game it doesn't matter but you had them pinned on their 1 and stopped the drive 12 or 13 plays later by intercepting a pass in our end zone. This is what worries me about Sutton. Having said all that I am very happy we stomped the Donks. They can cry about missing Talib and Ware all they want. They didn't seem to mind us missing Smith as they picked on his replacement to tie the game at Arrowhead. |
Did you see Tamba line up at CB just before the Brock INT? Maybe it was confusion but holy **** was Brock stupid to not recognize that

Hate to rain on your parade, Pete, but Osweiler isn't a rookie. He was drafted in 2012. He played a couple of games that year, and has played since then..

I told you the Chiefs would win this . I even predicted PM wouldn't get his 3 yards and was close on that.
we have FINALLY struck revenge on the forehead and hopefully will have the satisfaction of putting the nail in his coffin. |

Hali may actually be more effective dropping into coverage in certain zone schemes than he is rushing the passer these days...
How terrible is Dee Ford that he can't even replace Hali in a rotation?? |

My guess is Sutton tried to outsmart Brock, thinking Brock would anticipate a blitz.... I would have blitzed and made him actually deal with it rather than backing off and giving him time. |

Agreed, but my point is : you can time Hali with a sundial these days. |

He was a QB who didn't know how to throw an accurate ball in college. He had to learn how to play QB when he got to the NFL. I have yet to see a QB truly succeed at making that kind of transition from college to pros. He only looked vaguely good because Sutton didn't give a shit and we had just gotten used to going up against Fivehead's immobility and duck launcher. He'll be out of the league before Geno Smith when Smellway or some other GM signs him to a new contract, hands him the keys to the offense, and he crashes it into a ****ing light pole |

As bad as Manning looked in week 2, he looked worse this week. That might be the single worst QB performance I've ever seen (Leaf's implosion included). Leaf looked overwhelmed in his start, Manning simply looked incompetent. It was stunning. It's the first full game I've seen the Bronco play since Arrowhead and I couldn't believe how terrible he looked. |
