Coach Tom Pratt
I DVR'ed the Super Bowl I special on the NFL Network and was watching it tonight. Cool story about a defensive coach with the Chiefs in that game. His name is Tom Pratt, and he was a coach under Stram in that first Championship game in 1967 - it wasn't even called "The Super Bowl" then.
Coach Pratt is still coaching, this year he's with the Arizona Cardinals. So, if the Cardinals beat Carolina next week, he will have coached in The First "Super Bowl" and the 50th Super Bowl. That's pretty awesome. |
What is he, Quality Control of Depends?

Why didn't he stop Max McGee?
|
I'm not sure what his current job is with the Cardinals, but he's on the sidelines.

and another reason I'm rooting for the Cards. It was called the Super Bowl by Lamar Hunt and he gets credit. The PR and Network people didn't like it at first because they thought it was too simple but it stuck.
