Senior Bowl 2016

Practice and game this week.

Quote:

MOBILE, Ala. (Jan. 19) -- For the first time in a decade, ESPN will televise Reese’s Senior Bowl practices. The network will broadcast both the North and South practices live from Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday on ESPNU.

Chris Cotter will host the network’s two-hour shows and will be joined by analysts Bill Polian, Louis Riddick and Todd McShay. Quint Kessenich will provide sideline coverage for ESPN’s eight hours of live programming.

As an organization, we are so pleased to have ESPN and ESPNU on board with us this year,” Savage said. “With wall-to-wall coverage on ESPNU, the Reese's Senior Bowl will expand its media footprint to a wider audience and provide even more national exposure to our players.”

The network also plans to provide live reports during its flagship show, ‘SportsCenter,’ as well as its NFL-featured shows, ‘NFL Insiders’ and ‘NFL Live.’ ESPN last televised practices at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in 2006.

NFL Network will also broadcast from Reese’s Senior Bowl practices and will air its coverage in three one-hour primetime shows on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

It will also broadcast the game live for the 10th consecutive year.
The 67th Reese’s Senior Bowl is scheduled for January 30 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. Kickoff is at 1:30p.m. CT

Big fan of Leonte Carroo

Keep an eye on Dak Prescott as well. Nobody is mentioning him around here but the guy was an absolute winner and put up some amazing numbers during his career at Mississippi State. Both running and throwing. (Tied Brady's Orange Bowl completion record and set the Orange Bowl passing yards record.)

A faster, less physical Tebow

Very excited to see what he can do in a 4-3. I could see him being a huge impact player on the level of Lavonte David or Thomas Davis if he can be kept clean.

CleveSteve 01-25-2016 02:11 PM

BTW Noah Spence is the best pass rusher in the draft.

CleveSteve 01-25-2016 02:20 PM

Oh and I bet Spriggs looks awesome in one-on-ones. He's got great athleticism for a LT. Probably most natural pass protector outside the big two.

Lots of talent here. Game changer. Let's see if he can get any right on the Wonderlic.

kccrow 01-25-2016 05:22 PM

I love the rosters for this game, will be a must watch unlike the other bowls.

Here's some guys I'll be watching a little more intently than others:
Braxton Miller - how will he perform as a receiver outside of the OSU system
Jihad Ward, DE Illinois - interesting run stopper at DE with great size, want to see more of him against NFL calibur lineman
Jordan Payton, WR UCLA - can he get separation against NFL calibur DBs
Deiondre Hall, CB Northern Iowa - can he lock down NFL calibur receivers with huge jump in competition level
Kenneth Dixon, RB Louisiana Tech - great looking runner but can he do it at a higher level
Eric Murray, CB Minnesota - want to see if he can hold up against speedier NFL level receivers
Leonte Carroo, WR Rutgers - is he fast enough to get any separation and is he smart enough to learn a few NFL plays in a week
Nick Kwiatoski, ILB West Virginia - can he stop the run against NFL competition
Joe Haeg, OT North Dakota State - can he hold the edge against NFL level ends
Jason Spriggs, OT Indiana - how will he hold up against stronger NFL level ends
Matt Ioannidis, DT Temple - does he have the strength to get push against NFL calibur lineman
Aaron Burbridge, WR Michigan State - does he have the speed and agility to gain separation against NFL level DBs
Deion Jones, ILB LSU - can he leverage against the run versus NFL calibur blockers
Jake Coker, QB Alabama - can he make NFL throws and play outside of Alabama's system
Antonio Morrison, ILB Florida - can he make plays against the run against NFL blockers and does he have enough speed for coverage
Josh Forrest, ILB Kentucky - does he have the speed to play in the NFL and to cover TEs and RBs
Connor McGovern, OG Missouri - can he handle NFL speed and does he have the movement skills needed

RunKC 01-26-2016 09:03 AM

Baby Gronk measures in at 6'2" 238 lbs

RunKC 01-26-2016 09:09 AM

Quinton Jefferson 6'4" 289 lbs

This might be a good developmental guy for us. Had 21 TFL and 10.5 sacks including 6.5 sacks last year. needs to bulk up a bit though.
