Who do you think starts at RCB? Nickel?

RCB- Russell
NB- Gaines

LCB Peters, RCB Russell, NB Gaines, DB Nelson, DB Murray.

The only reason I think Russell gets the nod at RCB over Gaines is that Gaines has more experience and the NB position is a little harder to learn with all of the congestion and movement in the middle of the field.

I'd anticipate them favoring experience, at least early on.

Also Gaines looked good in the few snaps he did play outside last season.

This it'll allow Gaines to push his knee a little less and nelsons been in the system.

If Gaines is fully healthy I think he's ready.

Allows our rookies to progress slowly and work their way up the depth chart as they earn it...

I'd say Gaines on the outside. Reid gives it to the vets to lose typically. I just hope Gaines rolls for 16 games. I'm excited about the kid. Hopefully he pans out.

He's got the ability - it's his ability to stay healthy over 16 games I worry about...

I think it's Peters and Gaines at the start of camp and Russell will battle to take over.

Overall I'd like to see Peters, Gaines, Nelson and Russell as our top 4 this year with Parker playing in the slot on certain downs where he had some success last year.

Murray and White most likely get the Steven Nelson treatment and don't play much since they're so far down the depth chart.

Whoever wins the job in camp.

I'd hope it's whomever plays the best in Training Camp and Pre-Season... allowing for a good healthy competition. If someone is getting the nod for any other reason, eff that.

As a long term fan of the team, I want Russel to start and I'd LOVE to see Murray take the NB job from Gaines.

I love the way Gaines plays, but he's injury prone and these guys we drafted are all very good.

Murray didn't play much slot, so that might be an adjustment. Our scout said Murray could play CB and Safety.

I can see us using Murray as a box safety kinda like what we're doing with Fleming. He's a tough SOB with athleticism to cover. Played against Ezekiell Elliot with a broken hand.
This guy could be an awesome box safety which would allow us to use Berry as more of a deep cover guy
