Chiefs cut WR Mike Williams, S Stevie Brown
 

Brown is a surprise cut for sure. I thought he's looked pretty good in preseason, and it leaves our precarious safety position a little thinner.

Neither cut is a surprise

I was surprised by Brown. I really thought he'd make this team with the lack of veterans in the secondary. Almost guarantees they keep Cooper now.

I wouldn't call the Brown cut a surprise after he barely played last Saturday, but I actually thought he was going to make the team after the first game.

Technically a Q, since it was in the training camp megathread. But probably worthy of it's own thread since it's a couple of offseason vet signings that were expected to make the team.

So, Frankie Hammond has more upside? I don't see it.

I've never thought he stood a chance of making the team, especially after the draft.

I don't see Hammond making this roster either. IDK why Williams got cut instead of Hammond, if that's what you're implying. But in the end, neither will be on the roster.

Williams was cut because he missed every offseason workout and he's dropped ball after ball.

Hammond's plays special teams and is able to return punts. I doubt he makes the 53 this year but he's got more "value" than washed up Mike Williams.

Thank gawd they didn't cut Hammond, that was close!!



Hammond must blow Andy after every practice.

If Hammond gets cut and DAT gets cut and Knile gets cut we won't have anybody to return kicks and punts other than Hill and i think they want Hill involved in the offense. hammond is a really good special teams player on both sides so I just think he will have a roster spot.
