Black Friday is near - TV shopping time

Ya, so i have been eagerly waiting for Black Friday to pick up a new TV. This will be my first time grabbing a tv on this special day.

Any recommended sites to look up and use? Best buy? Amazon?

Looking for something in the 60' range and looking for a good price.

so, anyone have any feedback that can help me out?

Many thanks.

One thing I have done in the past is check out ad circulars for different big box stores and then take a peek at Amazon to see if they are matching those prices on tv's. A few years back Fry's had a bunch of tv's on sale and Amazon beat every price by a dollar so instead of fighting crowds, I bought it on Amazon and it was delivered a day or two later.

60' is a big tv.

That said, try Costco.

I just bought a samsung 65" K8000 series SUHD....has HDR, 4K, super low latency (if you're a gamer, you'll love it)...all apps, screen-mirroring from phone/iPad, etc. to TV, whole shebang....an amazing tv. The colors (HDR) and blacks are outstanding.

The 55" of this TV is 1200 right now and BF (Costco, Best Buy, etc.).

The 65" of this TV is 1500 right now, same places.

These TVs are about 500 bucks off right now....

Thanks guys. I am going to start digging around

I just measured again and it looks like i will be looking for a 55" TV now. 60" just might be a little to big for the space i have.

cheers

Doing 4k or just 1080p?

Do you do any gaming at all on it? If so, check out this link:

I'd echo the earlier recommendation on the samsung k8000. beautiful tv

Just bought a 2160 TV. Prices are pretty good. But I may have rushed because the price jumps up significantly if you're looking for 120 hz refresh. And I learned quickly... Be really careful about marketing lingo, because LG and Samsung are calling it 120 motion or whatever even though it's basically 60 hz.

I love it and I don't notice the 60hz too much. Tough part for me is that really Netflix and on demand movies are the only place where ultra HD makes a big difference. Hopefully cable will catch up.

Samsung 55" UN55KS8000FXZA

I've been eyeballing it for months and @ 997.99 it's right where I am ready to bite on it.

its an amazing picture....and this is someone who has had a panasonic plasma, and thought no LED could touch it.

And that's a hell of a deal by the way....

We purchased a Vizio M70 (new model) because our Pany 55 Plasma dropped a board.

It blew away the Pany. Brighter, movement is just as fluid, and I think it's sharper even though it's much larger.

The only thing it doesn't do as well is SD, and the lag for video games is atrocious. I don't play games on it so it doesn't bother me. The Pany had zero lag.

I got the boards repaired from an ebay dealer (awesome service and deal BTW) for my Pany and put it in the basement for the kids. Still a great TV.

Be careful. The last time I tried I buy a Tv on BF the deal TVs all had shit specs. You just as well shop from the normal inventory and try to hit a sale.

That is the exact same one i started to look at as well!
If that is a good deal, i will pull that trigger on that tomorrow (hoping price drops even further!)

EDIT: Before i forget, also looking for mounts as well for two TV's. The one i buy which will be 55" and a 46" i have.
any recommendations?

Thx
