Dean Blandino would rather have human error in games than technology

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...f-officiating/

Dean Blandino, NFL V.P. of officiating, insists that the human element is very important. The same "human element" that repeatedly gets the wrong call. "The rules are written in a way to allow for full-speed officiating"

“And as the technology gets better, it becomes more feasible. So we just have to continue to monitor that. But we can’t lose that human element.

So let me understand this logic... using available CFL technology (ref with a replay monitor in the booth with communication to the field officials) to assure the correct call is secondary to maintaining the “human element”, i.e. mistakes.

Gotcha...

I'm assuming this "lack of rational thinking' response in in tow with Goodell's promise to raise NFL revenue from 10 billion to 25 billion in the next decade. The NFL is just a cash extraction device and vehicle for Vegas betting control.

Good luck KC...out.

My mood is definitely sour today. I wouldn't mind seeing the entirety of the NFL burst into flames, it would probably make me feel better.

I wonder why.

I agree with Dean. The problem is not the refs, it's the fact that the rule book has tripled in the last 10 years. Everything is scrutinized. Every throw ends with players and fans holding their breath and looking for a flag.

But I propose this as a solution :

Make every play reviewable. Every single play. That includes ones where a flag was thrown.

I'm not proposing to slow the game down because the coaches still only get same number of challenges.

Time the NFL hires a bunch of KC area refs.
