My rankings. It came down to a nip and tuck battle between the amazing house and great location in Nebraska versus the amazing scenery and cool western vibe in Nevada. I'm a westerner at heart, I guess.

Nevada - While it wasn't my favorite place in Nevada, it's a very good place. The unit is small (for this contest), but pretty cool-looking, and the place is reasonably close to running trails and restaurants.

Nebraska - Awesome house in an awesome location. It's near a nice running trail on a lake, and you can walk to restaurants. I'm a big fan of this place. The only reason it's not a clear #1 is that I think Nevada will have a lot more interesting scenery and terrain. I could easily live here and like it.

Connecticut - I'm generally wary of the East, and some friends of mine got transferred to Connecticut once and eventually came back to Colorado because they didn't really enjoy Connecticut. That said, this is a reasonably nice home that's not too far from restaurants and a big forest with trails. It ranks higher than I expected.

Wisconsin - While I contend that we picked the wrong Wisconsin house in Round 1, this one is still really cool. It's not too far from a small number of restaurants, and I think there are running trails nearby, though I'm not sure. Setting aside the problems of nearby Packers fans and likely cold winters, this is a strong contender.

Kentucky - Just a normal mcmansion that's not convenient to parks or restaurants. I just noticed that their patio furniture is the same brand as mine, but it's not enough to move them up the list. Plus, I'd worry about dying in a giant sinkhole in that part of Kentucky.

Wisconsin

Is there a meth factory next to the Connecticut home? It dropped 400k in value the last year.

Wisconsin for me

Hmm, I hadn't noticed that.

I bet they peeled some acreage off. I've noticed that on some of the houses, where they'll have an XX-acre lot and then cut out most of it to lower the price.

Nevada. It's a nice house but the scenery is what puts it on top.

Wisconsin house is unique but I feel like that state is generally unlivable for about 9 months out of the year. Kentucky was also nice but bland and it's Kentucky. Meh.

It came down to Nevada and Nebraska for me.

Nevada

Honestly, it's the first one where I thought "I might just take the cash".

But the view in NV is worth the move. The Kentucky house is interesting but nothing particularly unique about it; it's just big. And they have a cool basement but I don't like the kitchen at all and that entryway is almost too open.

The CN house is attractive from the outside and the acreage is appealing, but I'd damn near have to gut the inside of that place and I'm not sure that's allowed under our rules. Just a very old looking/feeling house.

The Wisconsin house....has a drop-tile ceiling in the basement. Really? Million dollar home and you thought 'eh, pre-fab office complex will work here....' It just doesn't look like it's been kept up. I would almost certainly like the feel/functionality/livability of the NE house more than the rest of them. That's a fairly nice house on the inside but I'd struggle with the oddness of the outside and....it's Nebraska. Nah.

I don't even really like the Nevada place, but the view and community is amazing. My dad's place at the Ozarks is similar in the long/skinny living spaces layout and lemme tell ya - those suck. You just can't use the space worth a damn. No yard, stuck around a bunch of condos.....y'know what, I'm out on Nevada as well.

Ugh. Can I have that Washington house from the last poll instead of any of these? I voted Nevada but upon further review, I guess I'd go with Nebraska. It's the most liveable.

I don't see any value here. There is not one I can't build for at least half the cost. The Nevada one is tiny-no wonder they hid the exterior pics to the middle. Pretty proud of that wood burning stove-lol

Our leaders in the first three heats of this round are Idaho, Montana, and Nevada. I sense a pattern.

Are you sure we can't call it a tie? I'm petitioning to change my Nevada vote to Nebraska.

That house/condo/whatever really would suck to live in. Beautiful vacation spot, but if that was your day to day living space, you'd hate the functionality (or lack thereof) in a hurry.

With apologies, all votes are final. Otherwise, people could manipulate the system. (Not you, other people.)

I too remain torn on Nevada versus Nebraska. That Nebraska house is pretty much perfect other than having no discernible scenery.

Weak heat. I can't believe I picked Nebraska. I'll probably end up divorced over this.

The good news in that case is that the house is walking distance to a Twin Peaks Breastaurant.
