Ok was thinking if we saw a QB worth getting in top five for what would it take
To trade up into that spot please realistic suggestions.
|
On fan speak I traded with bears and it took first and second this year and first and second next year.

This is kind of a null propostition. If there's a QB worth taking in the top five you're not getting CLE, SF, CHI to move back, right?
but to answer your hypothetical, the eagles gave up two firsts and two seconds (and a swap of fourths) to go from 8 to 2. So to go from 27 to three you're looking at at least three firsts and two seconds. |
Damn that's steep love Watson though I guess we just pray he looks bad in the combine

If Alex Smith could get thrown not only would there be a parade in KC but you'd lower how many picks you had to trade. LMAO

When the Falcons traded from 27 to 6 it took 2 - 1sts, 1 - 2nd, and 2 - 4ths.
Here's approximate values via trade chart: 1-027 = 680 2-059 = 310 4-124 = 048 1-2012 = 590 4-2012 = 044 Total = 1672 1-006 = 1600 If you want to get from 6 to 5, add 100 points, or change a 4th round pick to a 3rd round pick in that trade. If you want to get from 6 to 4, add 200 points, or change both 4th round picks to 3rd round picks in that trade. Getting up to 3 will likely require another 1st round pick or two 2nd round picks and just isn't in the realm of something I think any team would look to give up. Trading into the top 3 is downright stupid unless you're already pretty high up, and even then costs quite a bit (see Eagles trade already referenced). |
None are worthy of moving up.

Just think, Give up two 1st and 2 2nds and draft the next Ryan Leaf. Dorsey would be run outta town.

Wouldn't sweat dropping the comp 3rd we're about to get to leap past the Texans though. |
I've mentioned this before, but I have problem with staying pat (or even trading up a little higher to leapfrog a team like the Texans) and taking a QB this year if we see one we like. I would still consider taking a 1st round QB next year. Let the two battle it out for the starting position and the other guy is the backup and can possibly be traded down the road for a decent draft pick. It's time to invest some real capital in the draft instead of ****ing around with the position.
