Cruise in Europe

Somehow or another I accidentally posted this thread in the picture thread, I have no clue how I messed that up. Anyways, I am looking for any recommendations that anyone has for a cruise in Europe. I really have no preferences going in, as I have never done a cruise nor anything in Europe. I have gone to Mexico twice, the Dominican twice and Haiti (not vacation). It will be myself, my wife and a 2 1/2 year old. If you have done it, who did you use, what stops did you have, and anything you would recommend would be fantastic.

Step 1: Don't go on a cruise

Step 2: ?????

Step 3: Profit

This.

Europe is also the last place I'd go after the nipple touch of Egypt and Saudi Arabia...

There is a lot to see in Europe. My wife and I kind of want to travel as much as we can while we are still relatively uninhibited from kids (1 now, plan on more), and as money is in surplus.

Don't.

I'd recommend Australia (don't touch ANYTHING!) and Canada (eh!) over Europe.

I would love to do Australia, but I would be hesitant to fly that far with a 2year old.

I've seem commercials about river cruises. A Mediterranean cruise is in my future:

I took mine when she was 2, flew the LA to Melbourne over night and it was a breeze.

Any flight with a 2 year old would make me queasy...

I went on a river cruise on the Danube through Bavaria, starting in Nuremburg, through Regensburg, then Passau, Krems, then Vienna and ending in Budapest.

It was life changingly perfect.

Just think of how many games of Ski-Ball you could play at Dave and Busters for the same price.
