Hunt and Dorsey

Everyone wants to make this about Andy Reid. Maybe this had nothing to do with Reid. Maybe this was 100% between Hunt and Dorsey (for whatever reason).

I remember the awkward moment they had on draft day when Mahomes was drafted. Watch the last 10 seconds or so of this video. Maybe it's nothing, but it sure looked awkward. The fumbled hand shake degenerating to a hand/fist bump; then Dorsey puts both hands behind his back and Clark gives Dorsey his back as he walks off with no further interaction. I'm no psychologist, but that looks like some awkward body language to me, especially between an owner and GM that just made a bold move to get a franchise qb.

Awesome we needed another Dorsey thread.

I can think of at least two more, just say the word and I'll grant your wish...

I never even noticed that until you pointed it out but yeah I think you're right

The Chiefs gambled pretty big on Mahomes.
The Chiefs front-office folk look, pretty much, like I'd expect them to in this video. They look like a group of guys who just laid down a large bet. Nervous as hell.

Damn maybe Dorsey didn't want Mahomes and Clark was tired of losing so he said **** it I'm getting a QB. Remember Clark makes the final decisions

Hoover 06-23-2017 08:48 AM

All I learned from that is Dorsey is socially awkward and doesn't know how to slap hands. He botched like five of them in a row.

What? It is clear from the video that Dorsey is the one who seems happy about drafting Mahomes. Dorsey wanted Mahomes for sure.

And it is clear in the video that there is tension or something between Dorsey and Hunt.

Halfcan 06-23-2017 08:51 AM

Dorsey looks pumped like he got the guy he wanted. Hunt looks nervous and does not fully let the moment be a triumphant one for Dorsey. Tension for sure.

I don't think there is any way Mahomes gets drafted without Clark and Reid in agreement of doing such. Especially when giving up a our 1st next year.

Dissecting a video? Guys, please.

If you have a better source of accurate info, please share. Chiefs are not giving fans much to work with. It's not everyday you fire your GM out of nowhere, especially this time of year.

penbrook 06-23-2017 09:04 AM

Until we hear Schefter or Rapoport say something it's all speculation until than

It's really none of our business. It's ChUNT's business and I suppose he can run it as he pleases.
