Multiple Owners Considering Forcing Jerry Jones to Forfeit Cowboys Franchise

Quote:

On Sunday, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk cited a league source who said "multiple owners already have been discussing the possibility, which flows from Article VIII of the NFL's Constitution and Bylaws."

One of the sections of the article allows the commissioner to essentially force the forfeiture of a team if the owner "has been or is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the league or professional football" and a $500,000 fine is deemed "not adequate or sufficient."

They should enact this against Haslam in Cleveland fir being so inept.

BossChief 11-13-2017 07:59 AM

Irsay should be forced out before Jerry.

Besides assisting in massive cover ups where near murders occurred, huge drug pArties are overlooked and he brings in guys that beat women and calls them leaders...what’s not to like about Jerry?

You really think this could happen? ROFL

It happened to Donald Sterling, so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

One of the underlying issues, besides Jones' current hatred of Roger Goodell, is that Jerry Jones backed John Schnatter and Papa John's pizza, which pissed off a lot of owners.

Jones owns more than 100 Papa John's franchises...

Why papa John's sucks so bad

Frazod 11-13-2017 10:37 AM

God I hate having to back Jerry Jones, but that **** Goodell needs to get canned in the worst way. Everything he has touched has turned to shit.

DaFace 11-13-2017 10:43 AM

ROFL...right. There is no way in hell this happens.

old_geezer 11-13-2017 10:43 AM

This has the same chance of happening as me getting a date with Carrie Underwood. Seriously.................not going to happen.

I just don't see how it would be possible. They'd have to find a buyer for the team, which is the most valuable in the NFL, not to mention that Jerry owns the stadium itself, and he's definitely the type who would threaten to kick the Cowboys out entirely if they're not his team, financial losses be damned.

Jerruh will give up the Cowboys when they are pried from his cold dead hands.

NFL owners should be united in firing their dumpster fire of a commissioner, not dreaming of forcing out another owner.

FFS, the NFL didn’t even try this garbage with Al Davis. Guy had like 5 lawsuits per year against the league.
