Justice League on track to lose Warner Bros. 'between 50 and 100 million

Justice League’s opening weekend at the box office should have called for a celebration.

Considering Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman all opened to over $100 million (the former taking $160 million), you would expect the Avengers-style blockbuster to make at least that much.

However, despite being a gigantic superhero event — Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, and the Flash finally teaming up to defeat evil — cinema-goers just weren’t as excited as Warner Bros. predicted.

Tracking for a $110 to $120 million opening weekend, Justice League took $96 million at the US box office, making just over $280 million worldwide. Unfortunately, despite still being a huge number, the studio is reportedly on track to lose $50 to $100 million once the movie has played out of cinemas.

Didn't snyder only do like half of the film cause of the death of his daughter ?

They managed to screw up 2 easy concepts in BvS and Suicide Squad, and this was the result. From what I've heard this movie isn't even that bad, but I'm not paying $20 to see this in a theater when they've shown me if I just wait for the BluRay I'm going to get a more complete movie for a fraction of the cost.

I've read the CGI is terrible

When the news of that came out there was speculation that they were using his daughter's suicide as cover to fire him from the movie, but that seemed too crass and heartless to me, even for Hollywood. But now, with the reports that there is a finished Snyder cut of the movie complete with music and effects, it looks like that's probably what happened.

Oof. Yeah, that just looks wrong.

I really didn't care about the CGI myself. I can overlook crap like that. I want a good story and it just fell flat if you ask me.

Apparently around 3/4ths but only about 1/2 the CGI was finished.

It's been reported they are finishing a 2.5 hour "Snyder cut" that will be out on DVD...
