Chiefs mixing in Arrion Springs at safety
 

This is something I mentioned awhile ago that I'd like to see happen eventually, but I didn't expect it so soon.

We haven't seen much of Springs, but we know the coaches reeeally like him and apparently he's already turned into a team leader by barking out assignments and corrections pre-snap to other guys in the secondary (they mentioned him doing that in training camp). Since he's a rookie free agent who has already got shit down that quickly, it will be great to see if he can make even more of a contribution at a position that I think better suits his strengths.

It worked out brilliantly for Ron Parker when he switched to safety, and I think moving Springs there could result in something equally as successful.

He's made a flashy play in each of the two preseason games so far. I'm keeping my eye on him.

He has definitely stood out in my eyes when given the chance.

I was relieved when I heard and saw DoD's name called while making plays on STs. I am sticking to my claim that he'll break out, may not be this year. & yes I realize he's not playing safety. Just throwing this in here in SNR's thread because SNR likes to discuss things and welcomes slightly off OP topic tidbits in his threads. Plus we have a real working relationship on CP.

I saw he had a TFL on D also, but I must’ve missed it.

He did - the TFL was relatively late - maybe 5 or 6 mins into the 2nd half. He's developmental - but I can't help but believe he'll do well in the NFL - I've done quite a bit of research on him. He's very smart he's also a sweetie!

Mcquay looked decent against the run as well.

This is correct. We definitely make a great team.

We visited Arrion Springs last summer. Place is a ghost town. Other than the Halls of Waters there isn't much to do if you're not into antique shopping.
