Article at Arrowhead Pride
There's a good article over on Arrowhead Pride for those of us who aren't that deep into NFL defenses as some are here. It breaks down the 4-3 under defense that Spagnuolo likes to run detailing responsibilities of each position and how it fits each current player. Basically says Ragland and Kpassa don't have a home but it's a better fit for Hitchens, Jones, Speaks and DOD. This article likes Ford at one of the DE positions and Houston at the SLB.

I wouldn't consider it. Can't force education on people. You can buy them books and all they'll do is eat the covers.

I agree and disagree with points. I think Jones and NNadi can benefit from the switch. It seems like Speaks would benefit, but I'm not sure at this point that he would even be that good in a new system. I disagree with Ford playing well with his hand in the dirt. I know Hitchens played well in Dallas in a 4-3, but he didn't do anything well in KC even when trying to play in space in the middle. I don't know what to think of him. DOD needs to put on some weight in order not to break down. Ragland would appear lost.
My understanding is that Spags will also need shut down corner, currently not on the roster. |

I think one of the biggest problems of the defense this year was trying to fit the players to the scheme instead of the scheme to the players. That was Sutton's fault and I think it's the reason that finally got him fired. |
Did the whole Arrowhead Pride network just stop podcasting? I don’t see anything since 4/3. But no announcement or anything.
Edit: I guess the entire SB Nation podcast shut down. Crazy. Maybe podcasts are so diluted now that there’s no money to be made. |
