65 Toss Power Trap Super Bowl IV Restoration
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA5z20KEGN8
This is a massive enhancement of the Super Bowl IV game between the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs. The game was played January 11, 1970 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. I've had it in mind to take a crack at restoring this game for a year and a half, but had never had the time, till now The full CBS-TV broadcast exists and has been circulating for a long time. However, except for the final 6 minutes of the game, the surviving broadcast is an entirely black and white kinescope film transfer, the quality of which is very dark and muddied. The last 6 minutes and postgame are in color, but the quality is also fairly poor as well |
That's pretty damned cool will be watching soon

I just watched it last night. This guy did an awesome job. Restored black & white TV video is meshed with NFL Films stuff in real game time and it's glorious.
Also, I fast forwarded a bit, impatient for the officials to spot the ball on the MIN 46 late in the 3rd, because I knew what was coming next. |
Very much worth watching. I was 8 years old at the time. I was out playing in the neighborhood during the first quarter and a half, but watched the rest of the game live. Amazing how much pro football and the world have changed in the last 50 years.

I think in some way & date in time we should have a game day thread for this
Like January 11 2020 Just an idea |
This is awesome.
6:58-7:05 — “Yeah, we’re gonna win this game and make these guys wish they never came off the reservation!” LMAO Also 9:58 — the guy just recited (rather than sang) the national anthem. Very strange. |
My first assignment in the Air Force was Duluth, Mn. I got there in 1969 (yes, I'm an old fart). I watched the game alone since I couldn't find any other Chief's fans in the area and the Vikings fans were obnoxious, then went out and collected on a few bets. The Vikings fans were a lot nicer after that.

Thanks for posting.
