That play isn't getting as much attention X it deserves. Probably because it's a 2 point conversion not a touchdown but the play itself was really great regardless.

This does feel like the first time since Montana that we are peaking at the right time.

I get it, your job isn't to just chase one dude around, but you have nobody in front of you - peel off and keep your goddamn quarterback from getting hit in the spine. You KNOW he's behind you because he beat you off the line - he's gonna get up, go get some.

Didn't one of our linemen do that and get called for a penalty? If your guy gets past you, you aren't allowed to chase him down and block him unless you can get back in front of him or something like that..not sure hadn't heard that penalty called before Sunday

Think that was Reiter for a crackback or blindside block.

You can square up with the guy you’re blocking, but you can’t block them in the shoulder or back.

So LDT could have run to the defender as he was getting up and blocked him normally.. based on the short clip in the OP I’d just assume he thought Pat might run the ball so he was trying to get out in front.
