What do you generally listen to at work?
In recognition of the offseason.

Barry’s Kool-Aid
|
the toilet flushing
|
I listen/watch bushcraft and lifting videos while working.
|
Podcasts if I'm not super busy. If I'm really busy then just music. I have some playlists put together on Apple Music that work well for me.

Co-workers bitching about work
|
The sound of Billay’s balls slapping my taint
|
Obligatory "Your mom's moaning" response.

Back when I used to work construction sites with lots of different trades on them I would get there early because first person there got the radio. Was mostly guys wanting to listen to classic rock. But they hated techno music more than anything. So you better believe your ass that’s what I would put on all day. Drove them crazy! Loved watching them cry all day. Now I’m the only one who brings a speaker so they’re all at my mercy. But now I only play reggae, dancehall, Soca, and AfroBeats. And the guys I work with seem to like it for the most part.

I've turned into that old guy who does things nobody else would do.
So I like the Dan Patrick show, so I listen to its on my computer to start the day, then witch over to YouTube for various mixes depending on mood. I should probably just get Spotify, but I just play Youtube in the background. |
I've been a pretty dedicated free-Pandora user for over a decade. It's helped me discover some great music. One recent example is Marc Cary and his composition "Taiwa" from the album Focus.

My listening habits are somewhat seasonal. If it is football season or in the runup to the season, I'm probably listening to sports talk or maybe one of the couple of NFL podcasts I listen to. I don't care about baseball or basketball, so the rest of the year I'm listening to Apple Music.
