Anyone own a Can Am spyder?
Thinking about buying one but wanted to know how they ride.

|
My SIL had one, but I never rode it. What are those things costing these days?
|
Why would anyone ever admit to owning one

They look fun to me. I want one. |
Had a guy go on a motorcycle trip with us that had one. He was an older guy; wasn't experienced on a bike so he thought that would be a reasonable compromise. He had a good time on the trip but it's not like you can lean one over or anything to negotiate a tight turn. You just have to slow it down and work your way through it.
Honestly, to my eyes, it was pretty much the worst of all worlds, but I could see a little appeal to them I guess. For my money, I'd just find myself a used Plymouth Prowler or something. |
My dad has one. He loves his. Its perfect for him to go cruise around and see things. Good toy for a retired guy in his 70s.

They’re all right and I get why people ride them.
But when I sold my bike, I was done. Hurts sometimes, but that’s the way it is. sec |

I think they are a better platform trike then two wheels in the rear. |

Putting two wheels in the front reduces that risk several times over. Also just don't have to worry about the thing laying over or having to keep it balanced while you're sitting at a light or whatever. |

They look fun. I like 2 wheels but my wife won't ride on two wheels. The only way she will get on one is, if I get a can am or trike. |
Just get a Harley with a sidecar. Unhook when she doesn't want to go. Once she eats a bug or two you be going alone anyway.
