Northeast Oklahoma is getting a big new theme park.

I thought this was interesting. Linked to support journalism, but it's in northeast Oklahoma and the article says,

The American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will include an amusement park comparable in size to Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida or Disneyland in California.

WTF does that mean?

AdolfOliverBush 07-20-2023 03:18 PM

I'd like it to be awesome, but it looks boring as hell if the renderings are accurate.

I'd sure check it out.

This has to be near White Oak or Vinita OK.

Looking at that site it is near Vinita but doesn't really see it as boring looking architectural renderings.

When I was a kid, I rode ALL THE RIDES.
Somewhere around age 18, I could no longer tolerate the Tilt-O-Whirl.
I've been slowly crossing rides off my personal "Does Not Induce Nausea" list ever since.
I'm not sure what would be the attraction to a theme park if you aren't riding the rides. Carny games to win a fuzzy animal?

If my family dragged me there, I would go.

It needs a Whataburger.

If this brings angry dads to Downstream Casino to play poker, I am all for it.
