Netflix Rebel Moon
This looks pretty bad ass if you ask me.

That looks totally awesome.. I will be watching that..

I read an article on this a while ago, apparently this was developed for Star Wars right after Disney bought Lucasfilm & Disney declined to pick it up. So Snyder said F-it I'll just create my own universe for it.
|
It definitely looks cool. It's neat that it's two parts but the second one releases fast.. early next year.
I don't always love Snyder's work but I'll check it out on release |
I want to like it, but I'm skeptical when I see a modern day "strong female character" who's 120 pounds with buckshot in her pockets.

There was that vampire chick with the cool guns. Can't remember the name but if I'm ever scrolling through TV and see it on I stop. Also, Sarah Conner........ (In my world on T1 and T2 exist) |
To me it depends on how it fits into the universe they create. Like Trinity in "The Matrix", it makes perfect sense in that world as muscles in the matrix don't really exist the mind is what gives you power, so there's no reason a woman can't be as powerful as a man. Or Vi in "Arcane" she has mechanical gloves that make her able to fight with bigger men. Sarah Conner I don't ever think was shown beating up larger men, she was going after wimpy security guards & scientists & even then she usually had some type of weapon. She had a tough personality & was shown to be reasonably strong, but I can't ever remember her doing anything that just seemed super fake.
It's when you have some 85 lb woman who's just supposed to be good at fighting with no real powers or technology throwing around 250 lb dudes that I have a real problem with it. Will be interesting to see if they have a well written reason their female protagonist to be able to fight with the men, or how they will handle that in general. |
Shocker. 24% on Rotten Tomatoes
Dude always has visual but dogshit story. I like Man of Steel and 300 but most his stuff is not good. |

I was going to say, 72% is actually pretty bad for a movie that's not being review bombed.
