Christmas movies tournament: Home Alone region

This is the region with the top overall seed, Home Alone. Vote for the winner of each matchup.

The tournament will be four divisions with 8 movies each. Classic snake style bracket with top seed being paired with the lowest 2 seed and so on.

I don't have a bracket or anything but it will be like this:

Home Alone region Grinch region
Polar Express region Gremlins region

Home Alone is my favorite to win the whole shebang.

Did Home Alone 2 not make the cut? That one is just as good as the first, IMO.

So help me if Die Hard wins this tournament...

Scrooged and Die Hard are easily two of my favorites, but I went with Scrooged here. Fantastic movie.

I watched Home Alone this past year for the first time. It was much more of a children's movie than I was expecting. Those movies usually have some nuggets for the adults.

I'll have to study the seedings a bit more, but my hunch is that A Christmas Story will take the tournament.

My two all-time favorites will be a second round matchup - Home Alone and Christmas with the Kranks!

What a brutal region. Die Hard up against Scrooged, Tim Allen vs Tim Allen, Miracle going against A Christmas Story… you’d expect those kinds of matchups in a later round.

I assume Gremlins will be on one of these. My favorite Christmas movie by far.

And Bad Santa ought'a be on one as well...

I've already watched Home Alone twice this year :shake: well, not like sat down and watched it, watched it, but I'll turn it on as background noise every time I see it on in December.

Had my sister and nephews down for thanksgiving and we watched home alone. I hadn’t seen it in years and I was laughing my butt off.

I always watch it Thanksgiving evening. Its a family tradition I've had since it came out.

Man...some of the matchups in all the regions have kind of sucked
