Christmas movies tournament: Gremlins region

This is the region with the surprise top seed, Gremlins. Vote for the winner of each matchup.

The tournament will be four divisions with 8 movies each. Classic snake style bracket with top seed being paired with the lowest 2 seed and so on.

I don't have a bracket or anything but it will be like this:

Home Alone region Grinch region
Polar Express region Gremlins region

Elf vs Muppets Christmas Carol was a tough one for me. I love both movies but chose Elf in the long run.

Nightmare Before Christmas is a toughie for me.

I know arguments can be made from both sides but that one just isn’t Christmasy enough for me to consider it for my “fave Christmas flick” list. Great movie though.

Yeah, that's a brutal matchup out of the gate. Both of those would be top 10 for me. Gotta go with Elf though.

Same here. Really was disappointed to see them matched up.

I had to go the opposite of everyone else here and go with the Muppets. But yeah, I winced when I saw those two up against each other. Still…

Honestly I don't understand the fascination with Elf...wasn't really that funny!good of a movie to me.

But then again I am not a big Will Farrell fan
