Josina Anderson: Belichick expected to sign with Atlanta

Bc their owner is giving him full control out of desperation. He's only still coaching to try to get 27 more wins to pass Don Shula for most ever wins by a coach

Mecca 01-18-2024 10:14 AM

Well that puts the Fields to Atlanta thoughts into the shitter.

St. Patty's Fire 01-18-2024 10:14 AM

this is where i expected him to go along

if he gets the qb right the falcons are winning 12+ games next year. they can easily go 5-1 or 6-0 in that division alone.

honestly even a competent game manager probably gets them to 11.

Atlanta makes the most sense if he wants to retain control of football operations. No other owner would give him that power. Philly said no because they think Belichick illegally videotaped them in the 2004 super bowl (Spags, who was an eagles defensive assistance, even said he suspected as such). Plus in the NFC South he can pile up wins in that cake division.

But I wonder who they are going to get at QB...

They have a lot of pieces in place. It will be interesting to see if they try to get in the top 3 of the draft for a rookie QB or go the veteran route. I could see Russ Wilson land there.

Bet he gets Cousins to be his QB.

Eleazar 01-18-2024 10:18 AM

Well I for one am shocked that he didn't end up with the Raiders

LMAO

What if I said I think Cousins best fit is Miami...

They're going to hope he lucks into another QB? I don't see why he wouldn't wait for Sirianni to get fired.

wazu 01-18-2024 10:20 AM

My prediction is that he will grind out mediocre seasons in a bad division to add wins to his career total at the expense of winning percentage. Won't be much different that what he was doing with the Patriots, but in a crappy division it should be a little easier.

jessie bates in a bill belichick defense is a scary thought

That's a pretty damn good idea.

Might be worth a shot to give Miami a call at that point. I think BB could get strong production out of Tua.

Sirianni isn't getting fired.
