***Official NCAA Tournament Thread***

Seeing as Bearcat banned me from the KU basketball thread for daring to use statistics to dispel the constant trashing of the team’s best player this year by far, I’ll need somewhere to put my thoughts for this year’s tournament.

In sum, the committee screwed KU again. Their resume (and wins) should have had them at at least a 6 seed and maybe even a 5. Arkansas is also the toughest matchup they could have had among possible opponents and KU matches up horribly against them (stay tuned as to why).

As far as the rest of the tournament goes, I’m picking Houston to win it all and Kentucky (fraud) to lose in the first or second round.

Kansas shouldn't have even made the tournament.

How many teams in the country do you think have wins over both a 1 and 2 seed in the tournament? St. John’s shouldn’t be happy with this.

Honely, KU should be awarded the #1 overall seed for all they've done for college basketball and for the covid year

I'm excited to play that slimeball Cal! Don't see mu making it past Drake, with all those mo guys on that team ought to be fun

The expiations of North Carolina and Texas being in show that it about $$$$$. Just wait until CFB playoffs as this will become even more obtrusive.

KU was seated appropriately for a team that finished 6th place in league with only 7 invites.

You have the great fortune of potentially playing former UK coaches (both with nattys) back to back.

ROFL

Quite a few in the SEC.

Seed list was revealed too and KU was the last 7 seed. Absurd.

Our net rating is better than at least 8 teams in front of us and sometimes by a significant margin (Memphis for just one example).

And they all got seeded appropriately for it, yeah. Is the committee still punishing Self for getting around the Adidas scandal? The agenda is real.

Reynolds wrap.

Florida and Golden will win it all. The douche coaches are dominating every sport. It pays to be a POS.

No - they’re punishing Kansas for being mediocre in conference play.

Memphis barely beat Wichita State and Tulane over the weekend, lost to that same garbage Wichita team during the season (as well as even more garbage Temple) and got rewarded with a 5 seed. Is that being mediocre in conference play?

This was bullshit too. Neither had the resume to get in, especially UNC. Those games will draw big numbers now for the NCAA, though, which WVU would not have.

Bearcat 03-16-2025 05:39 PM

The SEC got 14 teams in? Texas went 6-12 in conference and looks like they had about the shittiest non-conference schedule a team could create.

Wow.
