Look at what the boomers had then how badly the f-ed up when they got in charge. Heck, this whole economic recession is looking more and more like a boomer retirement sale than anything else, where their companies and stocks get bailed out, screwing the rest of the country.
Boomers had well paying jobs (even minimum wage) growing up. Wages where they could pay for their healthcare. Wages that allowed them to pay for school without huge loans. Wages that allowed them to contribute to and engage in society. Good housing prices.
They lived in one of the most prosperous times in American History.
What do they do when they get in charge? Squandered their wealth.
And now, after crashing the economy, the boomers want the rest of the nation to pay for it, despite them being the ones who caused it.
Rather than workable solutions, my party is offering low taxes for the currently rich and high spending for the currently old, to be followed by who-knows-what and who-the-hell-cares. This isn’t conservatism; it’s a going-out-of-business sale for the baby-boom generation.
