Alex Smith kept doing what he'd been doing, running the ball to sustain some drives, but he finally started making some throws downfield into tighter windows, giving the receivers chances to make plays. One of the picks was a fluke on a poor throw to Charles (amazing how that one bounced for NYG), really the only overtly bad play I can remember. Otherwise he was doing what we need him to do. And the defense proves what we already knew: we don't have to play afraid on offense; they're good enough to hold teams after turnovers...

Yep. I posted the same in another thread.
Not sure what switch Alex flipped at halftime, but he was a completely different QB, and the offense looked great because of it.
