short of a turnover that gives us a short field or points; same with STs.

KC had better get some 3rd down conversions more than their awesome 1 for 12 (or something very sad) or Manning is going to have a field day.
Probably true, but this the 1st game we even started actually looked to strike down field against a defense sagging in on us to limit the underneath. We still moved it, against the best D we've faced to date. Penalties and Turnovers stalled drives and that won't cut it when facing the better offensive teams,

But other than maybe the Saints and Broncos, what teams do you feel could simply score us out of doing our prescribed gameplan?

So, the offense is a work in progress, and there's nothing assured that we will improve, but this team went on the road and won against to team that very well maybe a wild card team. With Indy likely to win that division, but think of it this way- we have the schedule to assure ourselves of a favorable seed if they stay the course and take care of business.

Maybe unlikely as it would be to win the division, the chance to keep pace with the Broncos, with the hope they split the home and Home with them, may be the greatest motivating factor for this Chiefs team to avoid those trap games, looking ahead, or coming out flat because they know that the margin of error of getting ahead of Denver will require no mistakes and giving a W away that they could or should have won.

it'd be unrealistic to think they won't have at least one game were gonna walk away from with a bad taste in our mouth. But, Andy has these guys locked in, and its pretty easy to see the jubilation by everyone in the locker room after each win is growing.

This team tasted defeat and turmoil to the extreme last year, and that sits in the back of everyone's mind. Their desire to not relive this even for a single game and continue to stay hungry and silence to skeptics is all the fuel a young talented team needs. Coupled with a coaching staff that is actually capable of giving them the tools and game plan to actually get the roster 1 to 53 fully buying in and ready to run through walls to build on their success.

We were ****ing 2 - 14 last year and a rudderless ship, and now the mood around here is people hypothesizing how are we going to win against the elite teams in the NFL.

Of course I want to win it all, but that's a pretty damn good set of problems to speculate on in contrast to the sad state of affairs like wondering when we'd actually have a lead in the game for the 1st time in the entire season.

It's not so terrible to enjoy wherever this season takes us and so far it's been a roller coaster that every chiefs fan has clearly been enjoying. That doesn't even mention the enthusiasm of having such a young talented team, and having the GM and Coaches capable of identifying talent and guys like Cooper in other areas of need- like say at Safety next to Berry, or a beast TE if Kelce doesn't pan out.

IMO, I think we're gonna be looking at trying to carry 2 top level TEs down the road. Smith loves his security blanket TEs, and I can only fathom the possibilities Andy could throw at opposing defenses with double tight end sets that can block and catch in match up nightmares while Charles is lined up in the backfield and Bowe also has to be accounted for.

We don't need the Rams spread wrs when you can go jumbo w double TE and run and pass like crazy out of the same personnel package and Defenses can't scheme nearly as well when you can gash them in endless ways. Not to mention that plays right into Smiths bread basket where he can really excel in being able distribute the ball around and avoid the turnovers, in a PYP group package ( Pick Your Poison).
