Was listening to 610 this morning and they were talking about how Reid is a huge football historian that has the utmost respect for rivalries like this one. They were saying that Haley and Crennel didn't really give 2 shits about it and never really exposed the players to the past. They said don't be surprised if Andy brings in former players to talk about the rivalry and even shows film from classic games in meeting rooms...just to fuel the hate.

A former Raider was on and said he'd never seen 'venom from a fanbase' like when he walked out of the tunnel in Arrowhead in the 90's. He said that the atmosphere does something to a player...that when the fans hate you that much, it gets into your head and fuels the home team to an almost superhuman level. He said that if Reid is smart, he'll have the guys as amped as the fans are when they run out of the tunnel and that they'll feed off of what is sure to be an incredible atmosphere. The dude said that even though they lost that game, he was proud to have been a part of something like that.
