Look at what this team did with Christensen, how the offense cratered despite having Gabbert, Washington, DX, and Egnew, and what it has done this year.
Henson has done very well, and has made necessary, positive changes, but I think it only underscores how incompetent his predecessor was.

Bad. He was pretty bad.
Here's something else that I think is coming to light... Yost wasn't just a bad OC, he was a bad QB coach, too.
Look how little Brad Smith developed under his watch (the mechanical issues never got any better, and it hurt his throwing ability a lot). Chase Daniel was a finished product when he got him. Blaine Gabbert never improved. And Franklin last year... even without the injuries, his mechanics were a mess, especially the flat-footed spots.
And now look at how much Franklin improved this year under Andy Hill. It's not just his health through the first 5 games. His mechanics are much better, he's much more decisive, and he was much more accurate (and had more zip on the ball) as a result.
