Last year, the mantra from other SEC fans was "Mizzou sucks". Nevermind the injuries that completely decimated our O-Line, our QB hobbled all season, our #1 RB out the whole year . . . . now the other teams are having theirs this season and all I hear is "well, but, we're not at full strength . . . ."
**** that! Bunch of pussies! We constantly heard how Mizzou couldn't compete in the SEC because we didnt have 'SEC depth', whatever the **** that is.
So, Georgia and Florida, tell me where your 'SEC depth' is?? Shouldn't "great" programs like that be able to overcome injuries??
And, still, we almost beat both teams last year! We controlled the game against Georgia until the 4th quarter and should have beat Florida in the Swamp, if not for 4 INT's by a not fully healthy Franklin.
Mizzou is not going away anytime soon! We will be competing in the SEC every year, barring a catastrophic turn of injuries (see what I did there). Are we Alabama? No, nor will we ever be. But we ARE in that second tier in the SEC, competing with just about everyone else. We will be a perennial Top 25 team in the SEC with the occassional 'break-through' season where we compete for the top prize in the East.
And if they still want to put us down and not respect us after that, then **** em!
