I only know alot of this because my friend is certified to sell the exchange policies, but still sells what he's always sold. He hasn't sold a single exchange policy yet because they are so much more expensive than what he's always sold before the ACA. The ACA is making everything go up however, because the companies on the exchange still have to make up for covering pre existing conditions, so they raise rates on all their policies, exchange or otherwise.
Basically, it's a giant shit sandwich that is screwing over millions of Americans that were already paying for insurance.
You might want to explain all that to Direckshun, he thinks the exchanges are the best thing since the invention of velcro so he doesn't have to tie his shoes anymore.
Sit him down and give him a reality check on it and wake him up from his fantasy world of big goverment taking care of every problem in existence.
