Like hell it is. People who say "perma should mean perma, so thats the only reason why I vote no", are basically saying "I am unable to form my own thoughts or opinions on whether he should be banned".
If he was permabanned and the mods refused to bring it up ever again then yeah, he's permabanned, so be it. But as soon as they put it up for a freaking vote, even if its non-binding, then perma obviously doesn't really mean perma in this case, so you should disregard the word.
Do you think he should be permabanned, based solely on what he did and nothing else? Thats really all you should be thinking about.
