They were in a tough spot. The bottom line is that they'd have probably taken him had he committed before Trevon Walters....but he didn't. Witter looks like more of the HR hitter back that the Tigers prefer anyway.
You hate to see it, but I don't feel like Mizzou did him dirty here - they were honest with him and he'll likely get a better shot at PT in Iowa.

Agreed, and I'm not sure Markel had the wheels that Mizzou likes in their backs. Still, though, I'd love to lock up the STL.
