Yeah. Those were my experiences with him as well. Did you watch the poor guy walk? If his gout was bothering him, it was excruciating to see him walk. Really amazing that he could perform like that on the field because he looked like a cripple at times off of it.
Anyway , for the other poster: I'm not saying Roaf and Martin are alike. I'm saying they had similar social demeanors. Willie got accepted and Martin didn't. Part of that might be on field performance as well as years of experience. Part of it also might be a difference in organization management, player leadership, and team culture between the Chiefs at the time and the current Dolphins.
