Yeah Dude, the heat is blistering in the summer. I've visited and it's 110 at night.
That said, it's not anything at all like Midwest heat. The humidity that Carlotta referenced is infinitesimal compared to Missouri or Florida heat. I often complain when it's "humid" in Los Angeles, only to find out it's like at 50%.
I wouldn't worry about the heat. All the homes have swimming pools, as do the apartment complexes and of course, work spaces have powerful air conditioning. That shouldn't even be a factor in your decision, IMHO.
