Meh...
Lived in Vegas for 2 years. Worst mistake ever. (kind of)
The Bad: Las Vegas is generally a shit hole. It's a small city with no career growth and no jobs except casinos and food service. Its a small city. If you're well off then great. But careers are very limited. The city is completely dominated by casinos. You'll get tired of it really quick. After a month living there you'll never go to the strip again.
It just feels evil. The vibe here is atrocious. Everyone knows how sleazy and paranoid you feel once you get out of McCaran airport and smell the air. Imagine that feeling year round. Imagine getting used to it.
Tons of morally bankrupt individuals. Not everyone, but a lot. Met a lot of porn stars, strippers, drug addicts, drug dealers, gamblers, etc... Don't have kids here.
Worst part is that everyone thinks theyre cosmopolitan when Nevada has a high white trash population. It's just not that sophisticated in Las Vegas.
