Anyone who says the defense lost this game, must have not watched the same game that I saw last night...
Case in point. Denver's offense averaged 40 points a game. KC defense averaged 14 points given up. You have to consider the middle ground would have been sufficient enough. KC held Denver 13 points less than their average. KC gave up 13 more than their average. That's what got us 27.
I was disappointed about the fact that there was no sacks, and very limited pressure, but on the other hand, if you think that Houston/Hali/Poe should get from point A to point B in 4 seconds or less, then obviously I'd say that someone has been playing way too much Madden these days. There's no way a NT/DE/OLB would be able to get from their stance, with a O-Linemen to block their path, to get to Manning, since Manning already have thrown the ball out of his hand by 4 seconds or less.
I can't pin all of this on the defense, since the Offense left, from the top of my head, 7-10 points on the field, with the Sherman fumble (0 points, could have been a FG) and the first and goal at the 3 yard line, only to settle for a FG (3 points, which could have been a TD).
