First, there's the whole Eli Manning thing. When the self-anointed kings of football said, "we want to play for this team because it's better for our career", the person they were most trying to screw over was Philip Rivers. But you know what? He manned up, didn't complain, and did what was best for the game of football. He reported to San Diego like a man and helped that team while Whinybaby Manning pitched a fit to get his way.
And on the field he's kind of annoying, but I get the feeling that he likes football. He's kind of like the big goofy kid on the playground who has no social skills but plays hard and has fun. I have a hard time disliking that. Even though he plays in our division, I actually think Rivers is one of the good guys.

Great take on Rivers. I have always thought of him as a cry baby douche. When you consider the way handled being bent over in the draft. He also has something like 15 kids and has been married to his wife forever. Never in the papers like the Haley's. I think he just has great passion for the game and just shows it like a little kid.
